Brother FB100 Emulator is een programma dat alle functies van een Brother FB100 floppy disk drive voorziet. Brother FB100 Emulator heeft een Brotherlink 1 USB of Brotherlink 5 USB nodig om uw breimachine of PPD op uw computer aan te sluiten.
De theorie achter Brother FB100 Emulator is nogal eenvoudig. Een Brother Pattern Disk is een diskette waar 80 Kilobyte aan gegevens op staat. De breimachine kan deze diskette lezen en de meeste breimachines kunnen de diskette ook schrijven als de Brother FB100 floppy disk drive is aangesloten op de breimachine.
Het idee is dat, met behulp van een Brotherlink 1 USB of een Brotherlink 5 USB en Brother FB100 Emulator, uw computer de Brother FB100 floppy disk drive vervangt. Als u de emulatie start, laad u een Brother Pattern Disk bestand dat opgeslagen is op uw computer. Als u de emulatie stopt, wordt u gevraagd om het Brother Pattern Disk bestand op te slaan op uw computer, in geval u wijzigingen heb gemaakt.
